Tibetan Settlements (Mandikeri)

After 11 days in Om beach I decided to head inland to visit the southern Tibetan Settlement around Mandikeri. You know that I have been going to the FWBO (Friends of Western Buddhist Order) and practicing buddhist meditation in Dublin for 4 years, so it was very important to see my first buddhist monastery ever.
Namdroling monastery follows the Nigma Tibetan linage ( one of the most ancient in Tibet) the main of meditation in Nigma is Tactric Tibetan meditation which is a kind of meditation I am interested to get in.
The people here were the kindest people I have ever met, always laughing and approaching you to shake hands and try to communicate with you. I managed to talk to a meditation teacher here to get some pieces of advice about how to proceed with my Varjayana meditation before going to Daramshala.
Life in the monastery was disturbed by the riots in Tibet though, plenty of photographs showing the tortures in Lasha!! Many monks travelled to Mysore to demonstrate against the Chinese retaliation in Tibet!!
